Counseling, much like life, is an adventure- and I am always up for one! I have been a counselor in Peoria, IL since 2005 when I received my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary's School of Psychology. I became independently licensed as a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of IL in 2011. I have previously worked in community mental health with chronic mental illness, a domestic violence shelter, a group private practice and currently have my own practice and also work at a trauma recovery center at a local hospital with people who have been affected by violent crime in the city of Peoria, IL. I look forward to meeting you, wherever you are at in your life's adventure.

What you talk about in psychotherapy is up to you. I work for you and you determine which goals you would like to achieve. You are the expert on your own experience and my role is to help you manuever any obstacles blocking the path to your goals.
Although exploration of identity can be helpful to some, many of my clients seek to see specific, concrete changes in their lives. Many therapeutic tools are available to enable clients to think, feel and act differently than they do now. And it is like jumping into the unknown!
I am bound by ethics and the law to keep what is talked about in psychotherapy between us, outside of any safety concerns you would discuss. I take that very seriously and cannot and would not release any information about you to any person without written consent.
